Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply when you book a trip with Samui Journey Co., Ltd., a tour operator licensed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT licence 44/00252). By booking, you agree to them on behalf of everyone in your booking. Please read them together with our refund policy.

1. Who we are

Samui Journey Co., Ltd., 22/22 Moo 2, Na Mueang, Ko Samui, Surat Thani 84140, Thailand. WhatsApp / phone +66 94 751 4988 or +66 88 846 1888, email samuijourney.mk@gmail.com. Office hours are every day, 09:00 to 17:00.

2. Bookings and prices

  • Bookings are made online through our booking system (FareHarbor) or through our team. Your booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email.
  • Prices are in Thai baht, per person, and include the items listed on each trip page. The price shown when you book is the price you pay.
  • Age groups: adults are 12 and over, children are 5 to 11, and children under 5 years join free. Please give correct ages when you book, because they decide the price and the life jacket sizes we bring.
  • Tell us about dietary needs when you book. Vegetarian, vegan and halal options are available on the catamaran. Guests who keep kosher are welcome to bring their own food if they let us know when booking.

3. Cancellations, weather and minimum numbers

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup, no refund after that or for no-shows, a new date or full refund if weather stops the trip, and a new date or full refund if the catamaran does not reach 40 guests. The full details are in our refund policy.

4. Hotel pickup

Pickup times depend on where you are staying. For the catamaran, pickup is about 09:00 to 09:40 depending on your area. Please wait in your hotel lobby or at the agreed pickup point a few minutes before the time we confirm. If we cannot find you and cannot reach you by phone or WhatsApp, the booking counts as a no-show.

5. Safety on board and in the water

  • Follow the instructions of the captain and crew at all times. The captain may change the route, shorten a stop or end an activity if the sea or weather makes it unsafe.
  • Life jackets are provided for everyone, including child sizes. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian throughout the trip.
  • Some activities have conditions. For example, the banana boat is for ages 5 and up. The crew may refuse an activity to anyone they consider at risk.
  • Tell us when you book about pregnancy, heart or breathing conditions, limited mobility or anything else that affects your safety at sea or on rough roads.
  • You take part in water activities, snorkelling and off-road travel at your own choice. These activities carry some risk even when done carefully.

6. Alcohol and behaviour

In line with Thai law, alcoholic drinks are served only to guests aged 20 and over. The crew may stop serving drinks to anyone, and guests who have been drinking heavily may not be allowed in the water or on water toys. We may refuse to carry, or ask to leave at the next safe point, anyone who puts themselves or others at risk or behaves abusively, without a refund.

7. Wildlife and the places we visit

Treat animals and nature with care. At Pig Island, follow the crew’s guidance on feeding and touching the pigs. At Samui Elephant Kingdom, follow the sanctuary staff’s rules; Samui Journey supports the sanctuary and books visits there, but does not operate it. National park and island rules, including any landing fees, apply. The Pig Island landing fee is included in the catamaran price.

8. Accident insurance

Every guest is covered by accident insurance (policy no. 722-118017-38). It covers loss of life, dismemberment, loss of sight or permanent disability, and medical expenses for each accident, up to 1,000,000 baht. It is not travel insurance: it does not cover lost or damaged belongings, trip changes or illness, so we recommend your own travel insurance as well.

9. Belongings

Look after your phones, cameras, cash and other belongings. Samui Journey is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal property, including items dropped in the sea, except where Thai law says otherwise.

10. Photos and video

Our crew and photographers take photos and video on trips, sometimes with a drone, and we may post them on Samui Journey’s social media and website. If you would prefer not to be photographed, tell the crew at the start of the trip. How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.

11. Our responsibility

We run our trips with licensed crew and take reasonable care. To the extent permitted by Thai law, we are not liable for delays or changes caused by weather, sea conditions, traffic, park or government decisions, or other events outside our control.

12. Law and changes to these terms

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. We may update them; the version published on this page when you book applies to your booking.
